As part of our ambition to support local charities and groups in our community hub, we are delighted to share the news of a collaboration with PROMISEworks. Their mission is to deliver inspirational mentoring for Somerset’s most vulnerable, and disadvantaged young people.

PROMISEworks are delighted to be included in the “Save the Bell Inn” project. Our volunteer mentors need safe spaces where they can meet with the young people they mentor either once a week or once a fortnight and during the autumn and

winter months this can prove really difficult (often year round given our crazy

British weather).

We are always glad to be invited to use welcoming community spaces where our pairs can meet to share a hot drink, play a game, work on homework or simply chat through their week.

Given its location PROMISEworks mentors from South Somerset and Taunton areas would be able to make great use of a The Bell Inn as a community hub.

Any opportunities for our mentors and mentees to then explore further afield using the pub/hub as a base during the summer would again be really welcome.
